3-D Clay Relief Tile
A 3-day workshop at YAA, 394 York St., York Harbor, Maine
Monday&Tuesday April 15 & 16 from 4:30-7:30pm
*Thursday April 25 from 5:00-6:00pm, *may vary because of drying time.
Limited to 12 students, adults only.
Fee: $110
Instructor: Laurie Chapman
Laurie has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Pottery and Painting. She has taught art to both adults and young people for more than 30 years. She has also taught in York, ME. Laurie lives in Cape Neddick, Maine where she has both pottery and painting studios in her home. She is an active member of the York Art Association, currently serving as Education Chair for the Board of Directors.
During this workshop, you will learn about the process of clay and the different techniques to make a tile piece, from rolling out a slab to carving and adding on to it.
Please plan to bring an old shirt or apron, and a drawing or idea of what you would like to create! Feel free to bring a snack. Some snacks, Wine & Coffee will be provided. Welcome to bring your own.
